Seattle Trip Part 2

Saturday Scott dropped us off at Katie's, picked up some of the other groomsmen and headed to the wedding venue for photos and such. The girls (and babies) were all riding up together so we spent the afternoon hanging out and getting ready for the wedding.

When we got to the wedding we were greeted with a hot cup of apple cider to sip while we waited for the ceremony to start. L was soundly sleeping in his stroller up until the very second Lacy arrived at the alter, the music stopped, and there was a quiet pause before the minister started speaking. Quiet, that is, except for the crying baby. MY crying baby! There were probably fifteen babies and small children in attendance and I had to have the one that cried first! I snatched him from his stroller and walked out the back so I missed the ceremony :( The reception was so fun and beautifully decorated. I really appreciated all the small details Lacy paid attention to and I wish I had taken more photos.

Sunday we hit downtown again and did some shopping. That evening we met up with everyone (Scott's high school friends) in Wedgewood for dinner. After dinner we picked up Toby and Lacy to take them to the airport. Before dropping them off we stopped at The Cheesecake Factory for dessert! It was fun to catch up with them without them having 300 other people to talk to in the same night.

Monday we packed up then met Scott's Aunt Jan downtown for lunch. After lunch we made one more pass through Nordstrom (I could spend a few days shopping there) before heading to the airport. Baby boy was so exhausted from the weekend that he was asleep on the plane before we even took off. What a relief that he slept during the entire flight!

I miss Seattle and there are so many things we didn't get to do so we're working on plans for our next visit! Maybe an anniversary trip in December? Stay tuned...
